Booking & payment terms.

Your booking
Your booking covers exclusive use of Coastal Hygge in Burleigh Waters for the dates and number of guests shown at checkout. A booking is confirmed when we receive successful payment and issue confirmation. Before payment, dates may be held temporarily during checkout; an unpaid, expired checkout does not confirm a booking.
Price and payment schedule
All prices are in Australian dollars. Your stay total includes the accommodation, any longer-stay discount and the cleaning charge shown before payment. Stays of 10 nights or more receive 15% off accommodation; cleaning is excluded from the discount.
For bookings made more than 30 days before arrival, 50% of the full total is payable upfront. The remaining 50% is due 30 days before arrival. For bookings made within 30 days of arrival, the full total is payable when booking. We send a secure payment link for the remaining balance; we do not automatically charge your card for it.
Guest cancellations
The 50% upfront portion is intended to be non-refundable if you cancel, subject to Australian Consumer Law. Any cancellation amount retained must be lawful and reasonable in the circumstances, taking account of costs saved and amounts recovered if the dates are rebooked. We will not retain more than we are legally entitled to retain. Paying in full does not make the remaining 50% automatically non-refundable.
Contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change your dates. Changes depend on availability and any agreed change in price. We will confirm any refund or cancellation charge in writing. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies you have under Australian Consumer Law.
If we cannot provide your stay
We will contact you promptly to discuss your refund or other rights under Australian Consumer Law. The guest-cancellation policy does not remove your rights where we cannot supply the booked accommodation.
Remaining balance
We send reminders for an unpaid balance. If payment is overdue, we will contact you to resolve it. A failed or late payment does not automatically cancel your booking or release your dates.
Guests and dogs
The house accommodates up to eight guests, with a maximum of six adults. The king bed, queen bed and office sofa bed each sleep two; the two small kids’ beds are for children. The office and sofa bed share a room. Dogs require our approval before booking; please enquire before paying if you plan to bring one.
Your information
We store booking details and payment references to manage your reservation, confirmations and payment schedule. Stripe handles card information. Optional permission to save an unfinished enquiry or receive follow-up about it is separate from the information required to process a booking.
